What gives you inspiration?

People, mainly. But a lot of things give me inspiration, a beam of light, drops of water, the smile of a stranger…

What are your influences?

My influences come from different places. I find a lot of inspiration from novels and poetry. There are so many books that have influenced me. Also from cinema. I think Bin-jip changed me in some way. Other photographers have influenced me. And of course my family and my friends.

Why did you choose these photos?

They represent quite well my photography: portraits and emotions.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography is a way of life. When I’m not taking photos, I’m “seeing” them. In the street, in the supermarket, in bars… It’s like I saw life through a lens. Sometimes I make photos in my dreams!
