What gives you inspiration?

The world around me gives me inspiration. I like to travel and see different cultures, arts and beliefs. There is so much beauty and pain in the world, and I like to capture that; sometimes it’s easy, and sometimes it’s hard, but it’s what inspires me to continue to pick up the camera daily and try to find something worth capturing.

What are your influences?

I’d have to say the online world. There are a lot of classic master photographers whose work I enjoy, but spending only a few minutes online gives you the portfolio of many amazing photographers and their work. I get constantly influenced by all the great work out there. Being a photographer in this current state of technology (online and digital) is great.

Why did you choose these photos?

I think they represent what I enjoy shooting right now – people and landscapes. There are so many different types of people and lands, and I believe it’s important to capture and learn about them.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography means being able to freeze a moment in time and helping live in eternity, in a way. There is something magical knowing that I was the only person to be able to capture that specific scene at that specific time in history. No one else – just me.
