What gives you inspiration?

Life. There’s beauty in everything. There is no one thing that I draw my inspiration. I walk with my eyes open for new possibilities.

What are your influences?

I have always been involved in the arts in some way or another. I majored in graphic design in college and had to take various art history classes. I often find myself looking back at Johannes Vermeer, Jacques Louis David, Rembrandt, Diego Velasquez; they all captured a moment with their respected medium. William Eggleston, Stephen Shore, Terry Richardson, Robert Capa, Larry Sultan, Brassaï (Gyula Halász), Stanley Kubrick (his shots are amazing) among others, have always been my greatest influences.

Why did you choose these photos?

I like some of my latest work. The laundromat is part of a long-term project which I hope to publish one day.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography is a visual poem of a particular moment.
