Interview Jana Voigt

Photography is a constant process for me and that’s why it never gets boring.

Name: Jana Voigt
Hometown: Halberstadt, Germany
Style of photography: Quiet, objective and sometimes experimental
Type of camera(s): Bronica 6×7 GS - 1, Canon AE 1
Website: Flickr and coming soon www.janavoigt.com

What gives you inspiration?

My thoughts, curiosity, quietness and a white sky.

What are your influences?

I like a lot of artists but I don’t know how much they influence me: Bernhard Fuchs, Hans Christian Schink, Anya Jasbar and Maximilian Haidacher.

Why did you choose these photos?

They fit together because of a certain atmosphere and picture language. They also show subjects that belong together in a special way – the photos are interacting.

What does photography mean to you?

It’s fascinating how you can treasure thoughts and opinions in an image. It’s always interesting to see how I develop and how images can change - photography is a constant process for me and that’s why it never gets boring.
