What gives you inspiration?

It´s very different from day to day what gives me inspiration. I´m inspired a lot by the weather lately. Mostly windy weather. I´m not sure if it can be seen in my recent work though.

What are your influences?

I´m mostly influenced by the people around me, friends and family. But of course I am also influenced by a lot of different artists, writers and photographers. I like Henri Cartier Bresson, Icelandic artist Sigurður Guðmundsson, writer Jón Kalman Stefánsson, Janne Lehtinen, William Eggleston, François-Marie Banier and more.

Why did you choose these photos?

These photo represent in some way how I´m working now. I want to make simple images, but in that simplicity is also something more complex.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography is my main tool for making something that could be called art and now when I´m starting to work a lot with text and video my visual thinking comes from using photography for a long time. So yes it means a lot to me and is very important.
