What gives you inspiration?
Israeli photographers such as Yaakov Israel, Gilad Ophir, Roi Kupper, Simcha Shirman and foreign photographers such as Dieter Applet, Niklos Gaal, Janne Lehtinen, Sally Mann, Bernd&Hila Becher and many more.
What are your influences?
Going on photographic journeys across my country, my hometown, the city where I currently live and all the places I see for the first time through my camera lens. Everywhere I go I recognize a personal memory that can ignite the collective memory of the viewer.
Why did you choose these photos?
I chose images from my main projects. The first image is from my current project “Disintegration of a Revived Nation”. The second image is from my graduate Project “The Storm Still Rages Inside” that I’m still working on. The third image is my first Polaroid transfer (and my favorite). The last image is taken from “Inner Stations” that exhibited a few times in Israel.
What does photography mean to you?
Photography is my way of life. The best way to translate my thoughts and feelings into something that other people can see and relate to.
