What gives you inspiration?

I get most of my inspiration by looking at work from other artists. Any type of art really, but normally just looking at other photographs really does it for me. Also, listening to music or watching movies is another way I get my inspiration. With music and movies, it’s normally stuff I can personally relate to which will then spark an idea in my head. Lately I’ve been lacking inspiration though. Hopefully that will change soon.

What are your influences?

I’m influenced by a lot of great photographers. Like Eggleston, Shore, Robert Frank, Todd Hido, Alec Soth and W. Eugene Smith. Just to name a few. Also, the people around me and the places I go influence me for sure.

Why did you choose these photos?

All the ones I chose almost bring me back to the exact moment when I took them. They make me feel emotions that someone else looking at the photo wouldn’t necessarily feel.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography makes me look at the world in a completely different way. Like all the little stuff that people don’t always take time to notice. And the way that light will fall onto a certain object. I’m also fascinated by the fact that every time I release the shutter, that moment will be captured forever onto a piece of film.
