Interview Iván Sanjuán
I use photography to get to know people a little better, and myself too.

Website: Flickr
What gives you inspiration?
Mainly people. An unexpected moment or location, a convergence of factors makes the mind think. Also I like to meditate before taking pictures. Another important point for me is music, especially electronic music. But as I said, people with their identity and self-image are the most inspiring.
What are your influences?
Right now I’m pretty stuck on the internet, discovering new and talented photographers who I didn´t know before. My mind is quite “contaminated” by it because of all the hours I spend on Flickr and other sites. I think my favorites on Flickr can give a sample of the type of photography that I like.
Why did you choose these photos?
These are four photos that belong to a project which im still working on. I have chosen them because they are recent and I think they represent the way i’m working.
What does photography mean to you?
Photography is half of my daily activity. It gives me lots of personal satisfaction, and I use it to get to know people a little better, and myself too.
