What gives you inspiration?
I’m the inspiration for my photography. Things around me only catch my attention when I can relate to it. I look at those things as projections to see the interior for my world. Taking pictures makes me transparent. And it is, obviously, an exercise in auto analysis. This is the reason why I love to photograph women, play with them as they’re dolls and put them in situation slightly beyond reality, situations where there is a sense of disorientation and impermanence. I’m a woman after all, I have the right to do so!
What are your influences?
It’s hard to find a unique style. I’m not able to stop and choose a style and I’m not sure if it would be the right thing to do. I fear that choosing will make me lose everything. That’s why I let everything influence me. I say: “why not?”. But two names are indispensable: Guy Bourdin and Gregory Crewdson.
Why did you choose these photos?
They represent the different ways I am looking.
What does photography mean to you?
It’s a good way to avoid the analyst.
