Interview Franco Monari

To be honest, I never thought about it before now.

Name: Franco Monari
Hometown: Carpi, a small boring town in Italy.
Style of photography: I really don’t know.
Type of camera(s): Analogue & Digital Nikon SLR, Polaroid SX, Holga.
Website: www.francomonari.com, Flickr

What gives you inspiration?

Some photos that I take may indicate inspiration from other photographs.

What are your influences?

Absolutely Derrick’s Movies: I really love the mood and the atmospheres of this telefilm.

Also New Wave music and others photographers like L. Ghirri, G. Basilico, R. Polidori, T. Ruff, A.Moore.

Why did you choose these photos?

I have chosen these photographs because they are part of my latest project.

Because I like them.

Because they are full of memories.

What does photography mean to you?

To be honest, I never thought about it before now.

Maybe a motivation to observe the world and to try to understand it.
