Interview Gastón Torres

Photography is like reality getting ready for a fancy dress party.

Name: Gastón Torres
Hometown: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Style of photography: I´m not sure about that!
Type of camera(s): Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim, Holga, Olympus Trip 35, Minolta Dynax 500si and Nikon D90 for fashion photography.
Website: www.gastontorres.com.ar for personal stuff and www.torresbigolin.com for fashion photography.

What gives you inspiration?

People, places, light and colors. Sometimes it’s one thing, sometimes another.

What are your influences?

In photography, it ranges from the established masters to what I see every day on Flickr. I really like Ryan McGinley and all his naked people. I still haven’t found anyone naked in Buenos Aires!

Why did you choose these photos?

Because I like them, and my girlfriend too! Besides, I think all of them give me a different sensation to what I had when I took them, and I like that.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography is like reality getting ready for a fancy dress party.
