What gives you inspiration?

The unknown inspires me. Looking at a scene and wondering what circumstances created it. The story that I want to tell with a photograph may be completely different from an others experience in that place. I can choose as much or as little information within the frame to tell that story. In the end it’s my ability to act as a storyteller that inspires my photography.

What are your influences?

I’m influenced not only by photography, but all art forms. There is a common visual language that I’m attracted to in so many different types of work. Those aesthetics that I find attractive in other artists work, regardless of the medium, find a way of manifesting themselves in my photography.

Why did you choose these photos?

These images best represent my intentions when I’m making photographs. They express a clean, geometric composition that is a common thread throughout my work.

What does photography mean to you?

There are no rules, no right or wrong. Photography lets me capture a moment, no matter how mundane or incredible, the way that I want to see it.
