What gives you inspiration?
I am most inspired when driving someplace that I’ve never seen before.
What are your influences?
The West. To me The West is rugged beaches and cold water, farming towns in the valley, snow covered mountains surrounded by desert. It’s a tension between wide open space and strip malls and it’s the biggest influence on how I see things.
Why did you choose these photos?
These photos are ordinary subjects that when seen in the right light, moment, or combination actually make something beautiful.
What does photography mean to you?
Photography is a very limited medium for description but I like the challenge of trying to say something with still photographs.
