What gives you inspiration?

The people closest to me, friends and family are the most inspiring, their the people I’ve photographed over years and they keep the work changing.

What are your influences?

Nan Goldin has always been a massive influence, as well as Rennaisance Painters Vermeer and Carravagio, also at the moment I love the work of Nigel Shafran and Elinor Brotherus.

Why did you choose these photos?

Think these 4 chosen photos sum up my work best – revealing a mixture of intimacy, domesticity, familiarity and the everyday.

What does photography mean to you?

Well I spend the majority of my day behind the lens, so to me photography is metaphorically and quite literally my life! It’s a way of seeing certain aspects of my life in a different way.
