What gives you inspiration?
Anything around me. It can be a landscape, a building, a car, a graveyard .. I admire those little things we have in our surroundings which go unnoticed. I also like to photograph the people I love, and show them what they mean to me through the photos.
What are your influences?
I admire photographers as different as Jordi Bernado, Nan Goldin and Wolfgang Tillmans. All their work are based on portraying things as they are: naturally. Jordi Bernado said something which I think is perfect for defining good photographic work: “I donĀ“t manipulate reality, I never touch anything that I photograph, the thing more rare to be found was really there and not moved a centimeter, because to me what I like is the fact”.
Why did you choose these photos?
They represent the various things I like to photograph. They are not the best ones, but some of the most special.
What does photography mean to you?
It is a form of visual poetry.
