What gives you inspiration?

I am inspired by the desire to tell stories through people’s faces. To show the magic and the dreams that are there to see, those that surround us. Not to transform reality but to reveal it in a different way. The possibility to make people dream. But also emotions, music, the way I react to a certain light in a certain place. Daydreaming. Walking around Brooklyn. Staring at situations. And music again.

What are your influences?

Music. Especially Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized and all the psychedelic crazy melodies out there. As for photography it depends on my state of mind. Just a few whose images I love: Robert Frank, Eugene Richards, Alessandra Sanguinetti, Nan Goldin, Antonie D’Agata, Serge Leblon, Mark Borthwick, Luigi Ghirri, Guy Aroch, Jason Nocito, Mona Khun, Jehad Nga and Alex Prager.

Why did you choose these photos?

They represent my world. Or the world as I want it to be. And they are all part of the book that I just finished printing and will be out soon.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography is my way to see and live my life. It’s my way to interpret reality.
