What gives you inspiration?
I’m trying to get as much inspiration as I can from life itself. Travelling, meeting new people, falling in love, walking the shores, the woods, reading, listening to some good music, watching movies – all these things inspire me. All the life’s joys and sorrows. Of course I also get inspiration from photos that other people take. Browsing websites like triangletriangle.com, tinyvices.com, ilovethatphoto.net keeps me motivated.
What are your influences?
As long as most of contemporary color photography is deeply rooted in William Eggleston’s work, I guess I’m influenced by him too. No matter directly or through others. Ryan Mcginley’s fresh Zabriskie point type images have blowed my mind couple of years ago. I am also a big admirer of early David Lynch movies aesthetics. Hope it has some impact on my work too.
Why did you choose these photos?
I like the atmospheric feel these 4 create and also the way they interact with each other.
What does photography mean to you?
Everyday reality is merely the vessel in which the mystery of the world and human being is contained. Photography for me is an attempt to uncover and to catch a glimpse of this mystery. In last years photography started conquering more and more of my time, energy and thinking. I guess it’s the main thing that gives meaning to my life now.
