What gives you inspiration?

The everyday life.

What are your influences?

I did a internship at Magnum Photos in 2008 and love the work of Alec Soth, Martin Parr and many other Magnum photographers. But I also spend a lot of time browsing other photographers websites. I really enjoy the work of Amy Stein, Rob Hornstra, Randy P. Martin, Noah Kalina, Alex Prager, Lina Scheynius, Corey Arnold, Brian Finke, Clemens Fantur, Daniel Schreiber, William Eggleston and many more – it’s hard to stop. Movies can give a lot of inspiration too.

Why did you choose these photos?

My stomach made this decision when I opened my portfolio folder and clicked on some pictures.

What does photography mean to you?

It’s somehow like a mixture between bondage and relief. Always on the hunt for the next shot – looking for unique moments – to fulfill the addiction to create. And it’s also about collecting. The primary instinct of man. Collector & hunter.
